This is the first step.Power cords cable will be cutted to the length as the drawing shows or customers requirement, while the outer sheath or jacket removed and inner copper wires are stipped to the certain length for next step of crimping the AC terminals.

For this step, quality inspection points is mainly to check whether the outer jacket is cut flat or somewhere is damaged or peeling, and whether the inner copper wire is cut off partialy or damaged after stripping process.

The second step is to cold crimp the AC power cords terminals with the stripped copper wires of the cable by the terminal crimping machine.

With the development of science and technology, wire or cable processing equipment has gradually realized automation. Therefore, wire length cutting, copper wires stripping and terminal crimping can be completed by a single automated equipment, without manual labor.

The main quality check point of this step is to test the pulling force after the AC terminals crimped with copper wires.

Usually, manufacturer has a standard value for pulling force testing, which means that the process of cold pressing is qualified. Otherwise, electrical and mechanical performance problems are prone to occur. The common problem is non-conduction and easy short-circuit.

The third step is the injection molding of the power cord plugs.

In this step, plastic particles such as PVC are melted into a fluid at high temperature through an injection molding machine, and then stamped into the shape of a plug through a mold, and finally cooled and formed.

The quality inspection mainly refers to whether the plug of the power cord is formed completely, without cracks, whether the cable core wires is exposed or not and other impurities.

The fourth step is mainly to conduct high-voltage test, insulation test and wiring positive and negative test on the power cord.

This step is the most critical step, and it is especially important for users or consumers to use the power cord safely.
