Jumper cords is power cords with IEC60320 plug connector on one end or both ends of cable,which is used to transfer power from one device to a second.
Jumper power cord is often refered as IEC 60320 Power Jumper Cords, Detachable Jumper Cords, Power Supply Cords.
Althought International Electrotechnical Commission sets IEC 60320 standards on electric and electronic devices, IEC cords are used in different countries with different standards.
In North American Countries, Jumper Cords need to comply to UL standards while in Europe, the same plug need approval by European regulatory committees. Because they do not have universal amperage ratings, such as C13 plug with 15 amps in UL standard but 10 amps from European regulatory committees.
