LED grow light industry is very popular now.Especially in the US market, more and more companies produce or supply LED grow light.However, each accessory, especially the power cord design and style is very different.This article briefly introduces the classification and use of LED power cords so that you can choose and use them correctly.
The power source for most of the grow lights is the power grid, that is, mostly alternating current in house. The alternating current is converted into direct current through AC to DC power supply, shunting and powering the LED lights.
First, let’s take a look at the AC power cord of the LED grow light.
Commonly used power cords voltage are 120v and 240v. 120V power cords for LED power supply is mainly NEMA 5-15P to IEC C13 connector while 240V power cords is NEMA 6-15P to IEC C13 connector.

IEC C13 conenctor from the power cords is mating the C14 receptacle of AC to DC powr supply, which is most standard power cords confirguration for LED grow lights.
Sometimes, in order to adapt to different AC to DC power supply connection methods, different LED grow lights manufacturers will use instead standard IEC C13 connetor with flying pigtail for circular waterproof connectors as the follow photos.

DC power extension cords will connect to LED grow lights from the AC/DC power supply outlet.
DC power extension cords is 2 wire connectors, hot wire and netrual wire.
Most connector for DC extension cords is Waterproof circular connectors like the photo.
As you may know, different manufacturer will use the connectors from their suppliers. So it can not be interchanging for these non-standard DC extension cords.
